HAANJA NATURE RESERVE<\/h5>\n

On the slope of V\u00e4llam\u00e4e, there is a forest house managed by RMK with a separate sauna. The building was built in 1998 and offers accommodation and recreation opportunities for all nature lovers for a fee. The room is heated by a fireplace and has sleeping mats. There is a campfire site next to the forest house, which visitors to the forest house have the privilege of using.<\/p>

Outside of the skiing season the tracks in Haanja are ideal for cycling and hiking or just for aome nice walks. Please note that even rollerblading can be done here if tracks are cleaned.<\/p>

Mooska farm is a typical lifestyle farm in Southern Estonia. The powerful location at the foot of V\u00e4llam\u00e4e is amidst the beautiful nature and connects harmonically the farm life with the nature and the heritage of our ancestors. About a kilometer from Suur Munam\u00e4e, near the Kaldem\u00e4e hostel, there is a motorcycle museum, the oldest exhibit of which is a 200-cubic-liter DKW-200 made in Germany in 1939, and the newest is from 1989. An exciting museum for the whole family!<\/p>

SUUR MUNAM\u00c4GI<\/h5>\n

Suur Munam\u00e4gi, 318 metres from the sea level, is the highest point of the Baltics. The Observation tower on Suur Munam\u00e4gi provides its visitors with a splendid 50 km range view of the Estonian nature. The current tower, the sixth in line, was constructed in 1939, and reconstructed in 1969. A total of 29.1 metres in height, it was renovated once more in 2005 and an elevator was built into the back of the tower. Interesting facts: A person standing on top of the tower is standing 346.7 metres above the sea level. First tower was built in 1812.The height of Suur Munam\u00e4gi makes it one of the most important national symbols of Estonia.<\/p>

UUE SAALUSE WINERY<\/h5>\n

We are a small family business in V\u00f5ru County, between the hills of Haanja and near the beautiful Lake Alaj\u00e4rv. Our organic farm grows sea-buckthorn and grapes on Servam\u00e4gi Hill (222 meters high). We make berry and fruit wines from our own and other local raw ingredients.<\/p>\n

We offer a year-round educational \u2018wine tour\u2019, during which we will explore the secrets of wine-making and then, taste three wines with snacks. During the summer season from May to October, we will go on a tour on the berry field. We will also hold a fun quiz on wines. There is a farm shop.<\/p>

ROGOSI MANOR<\/h5>\n

The unique castell-type Rogosi manor is located in southeast Estonia on the Haanja highlands in the area between four lakes, near the border of Estonia and Latvia. COMMUNICATION AND LAPTOP MUSEUM<\/h5>\n

As the name suggests, it is a museum that introduces means of communication and laptops. The Communication and Laptop Museum opened its doors on June 10, 2023. In the communications museum section, there is a switchboard with cords, a telephone exchange from 1969; main distribution frame; telephone sets; payphones + payphone booths; overhead lines; mail baskets; communication instruments. Large Elion-Microlink-EMT-Telia signs and logos that used to be on the buildings. Also over several hundred mobile phones, among them old NMT mobile devices, antennas, and a 13 m cell phone mast. In terms of computers, there are a few desktop computers and twenty laptops.
\nYou can make calls inside the museum with a dial phone.<\/p>
